Son of above. High Sheriff of Northumberland. In 1748 built wagonway from Wylam.

Christopher Blackett,1751-1829:

Son of above by second marriage. Prominent coal mine owner and developer of steam engines.

John Hackworth, 1746-1804:

Foreman blacksmith at Wylam Colliery.

Timothy Hackworth, 1786-1850:

Son of above; foreman blacksmith at Wylam Colliery; worked on Puffing Billy and Royal George; superintendent of Forth Road railway works; took part in Rainhill Trials with Sans Pareil 1; built staithes at Middlesborough; sent one of the first steam engines to Russia (steamed before Tsar Nicholas,) built Sans Pareil 2.
